Leadership modules
Module content
Each module focuses on a core leadership theme, fundamental to successful headship, and three associated sets of leadership mindsets and behaviours.
Within each you’ll be invited to explore key tools and leadership insights, to reflect on your own experience, and to identify practical ways in which you can apply your learning and experiment with new approaches to achieve greater impact within your current leadership role.
You will be encouraged to share your experience with your peers in the small group coaching sessions to celebrate your successes and further deepen your collective understanding.
In your 1:1 coaching sessions your coach will help you unlock any particularly sticky leadership issues that you’re facing, or extend your learning to explore additional areas of need or interest.

In this first module you will consider the sort of leader that you want to be, and the values that underpin and shape your leadership - and how these can be exemplified in your leadership to enhance your presence and impact.

A key focus will be learning how you can lead at your best and maintain your personal resourcefulness even when facing new, uncertain or stressful situations.

You will also explore what it takes to successfully engage and bring others along with you, and learn some practical tools to deepen connection and dialogue.

The second module will begin with a personal leadership review, inviting feedback from your colleagues, to gain some new insights about your leadership and how others perceive you.

You will have an opportunity to debrief this with your coach and to consider how you can leverage more of your strengths and use unseen capabilities to lead more effectively.

We will then focus on your role in helping others to grow and develop, and how you can enable others to step up to take greater ownership and accountability and lead alongside you.

In our final module you will focus on your role in building a compelling vision for the future of your school, and how to inspire others with this vision.

We will help you to build your skills as a change agent, able to challenge current thinking and find new ways of solving old problems.

And you will identify your natural influencing style and how to leverage different approaches to engage and influence wider stakeholders to collectively move forward a shared agenda and bring your vision to life.
